Joey DeZart transferred to Miami in August 2024, midway through the 2024 season. Prior to Miami, DeZart was playing for the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The 26-year-old spent three seasons in MLS with Orlando City before playing for Nashville FC. He then made his way to the USL Championship.

Midfielder #33

*Academy Contract

Lucas De Paula signed an Academy Contract with the Miami FC First Team in 2024. The 17-year-old was a part of the Miami FC USL Academy before signing the Academy Contract. De Paula made his professional debut with Miami FC on April 11, 2024 against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Midfielder #16

The 21-year-old comes from Italian club Audace Cerignola, where he played for three seasons. This includes the team’s promotion from Serie D to Serie C. Born in Siano, Italy, the midfielder’s youth career was spent with Benevento Primavera competing in Primavera 2 in the 2019-2020 season. Botta has tallied five goals and three assists throughout his 70 appearances and 3,405 minutes played.

Midfielder #99

Gavilanes played in USL League One for Greenville Triumph SC from 2021 to 2023. During his time, he scored eight goals and 18 assists, taking the team to the playoffs three seasons in a row. During his inaugural season with Greenville, he was named Rookie of the Year. Gavilanes attended Marist College where he tallied 20 goals and 20 assists within 54 matches. The red fox was voted for MAAC Rookie of the Year, 2017 MAAC Offensive Player of the Year, and three-time MAAC All-First Team.

Midfielder #8

The 25-year-old Brazilian joined Miami in 2023 after successful season with USL League One Tormenta FC. During the 2022 campaign he scored three goals and three assists helping the club secure a spot in the playoffs and winning the 2022 USL League One Final. Cabral attended University of Charleston from 2015 to 2018 where he helped the team win the “MEC regular season” and was named “MEC All-Freshmen Team” for the 2016 season.
