Miami FC secured another important three points on the road Saturday night, defeating Indy Eleven 2-0 at Michael A. Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The victory marks Miami FC’s second consecutive win and moves the club to a 7-9-10 record in the 2026 USL Championship season. With 30 points, Miami sits just two points behind the final playoff position in the Eastern Conference with four regular-season matches remaining.
Miami came out with attacking intent and took an early lead in the 17th minute. Rodrigo da Costa stepped up to take a free kick and delivered a finish that put the visitors ahead 1-0.
The visitors continued to build on their advantage throughout the opening half, maintaining possession and looking for opportunities to extend their lead.
Miami’s efforts paid off in the 44th minute when Joel Soñora connected with Mason Tunbridge, who finished with his right foot to double the advantage. The goal sent Miami into halftime with a commanding 2-0 lead and put the club in a strong position heading into the second half.
Indy Eleven looked to respond after the break, pushing forward in search of a goal to bring the hosts back into the match. Miami, however, remained organized defensively while continuing to manage possession and limit the home side’s attacking opportunities.
The second half also marked a special moment for 18-year-old Jeremy Medranda, who made his professional debut with ten minutes remaining. The youngster made an immediate contribution, recording a shot on goal and helping Miami preserve its advantage through the closing stages of the match.
The visitors controlled 60 percent of possession throughout the match and recorded nine total shots, including six on target. Indy Eleven finished with eight attempts, only two of which were on target, as Miami’s defensive effort kept the hosts from finding a breakthrough.
Goalkeeper Felipe Rodriguez also contributed to the result, helping Miami preserve its clean sheet as the team maintained its two-goal advantage through the final whistle.
With the victory, Miami FC secured its seventh win of the season and completed a regular-season sweep of Indy Eleven. The result follows Miami’s previous 2-0 victory over the Indianapolis side at Pitbull Stadium on July 15, giving the club two wins without conceding a goal against Indy during the 2026 campaign.
The result also extends Miami’s winning streak to two matches following last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Rhode Island FC, keeping the club in contention for a playoff position as the regular season enters its final stretch.
Miami FC returns to action Wednesday, September 30, when the club hosts Sporting JAX at Pitbull Stadium in Miami. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
