The Miami FC U20s are the South Florida UPSL Division 1 champs, following an undefeated inaugural season run.
The U20 squad, undefeated for the entirety of the season, continued the same streak in their playoff run, their final match being on Sunday against Florida Wolves Football Club.
With a big 4-2, they became the South Florida champions. Miami started the match off strong, dominating possession in the first half. Right before the first 45 minutes ended, Matias Muller found the back of the net. Miami went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
Then, in the 50th minute, Miami FC were awarded a PK. Diego Mello converted from the spot and brought Miami’s lead up to two. Just six minutes later, Tobias Mas, put away the third goal for Miami.
Wolves Football’s Lucas Villa was able to find the first goal for Wolves, but just minutes later, Miami scored their fourth goal of the night. Lucas Villa scored once more for Wolves, but Miami was the stronger team.
Miami took home the 4-2 win in the South Florida UPSL Finals. The Miami FC U20 squad will now be competing in the UPSL Florida Final to become the champions of the Sunshine State. For more information, keep up with the team on Instagram @miamifcusla.
