Miami, Fla. (October 13, 2022) – The Miami Football Club will close out the 2022 USL Championship regular season by taking on Detroit City FC at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, Mich.
Miami FC is coming off a disappointing 3-2 loss on the road at the hands of Las Vegas Lights FC. Now, the Orange and Blue will face Le Rouge in Detroit to conclude the 2022 USL Championship regular season.

Miami FC will play away from home in one of the following cities; Birmingham Legion FC, Memphis 901 FC or Tampa Bay Rowdies.
Win vs. Detroit City FC, Pittsburgh Riverhounds draw/win
If Miami FC defeats Detroit and Pittsburgh beat Oakland Roots, Miami would finish sixth and play against Memphis or Tampa.
Win vs. Detroit City FC, Pittsburgh Riverhounds lose
If Miami FC takes down Detroit and Pittsburgh drops three points, Miami would finish in fifth place and face Birmingham.
Draw/lose vs. Detroit FC
If Miami FC drops points against Detroit, Miami would finish in seventh place and face Memphis or Tampa.
Last time out vs. Detroit City FC
Miami FC took charge of the game early on, creating multiple chances in the opening 15 minutes. The clearest of the bunch was a Da Silva first-time shot that floated over the bar in the 10th minute.
The visitors spoiled Miami’s positive momentum by producing a goal in the 20th minute. Forward Antoine Hoppenot crafted and finished a counterattack. MFC kept control of the game despite the goal but was unable to capitalize on its chances.
The Orange and Blue got off to another fiery start, with left-back Othello Bah hitting the woodwork in the 50th minute.
Miami overloaded Detroit’s half in the final minutes of the game. As a result, substitutes Adonijah Reid and Romeo Parkes combined for a goal in the final second of added time.
About Detroit City FC
Le Rouge has enjoyed a successful USL Championship debut campaign. Like Miami, Detroit will not host a playoff match. But, making it to the postseason is a success nonetheless.
Almost half of Detroit City FC’s goals have been scored by three players, attacking midfielder Antoine Hoppenot (7), forward Pato Botello (8) and midfielder Maxi Rodriguez (9). Moreover, Hoppenot leads the league in assists with 11, and wing-back Deklan Wynne has seven.
Detroit City arrives at the final game of the regular season from a 2-1 away loss against Louisville City FC.
Fun Fact: Miami FC and Detroit City FC are the only two teams that have not been shown a red card this season.
