MIAMI (October 11th, 2019) - The Miami FC travels north to Georgia for a Saturday night match against Atlanta SC this weekend. Miami currently sits at the top of the NISA Showcase standings, while Atlanta isn't far behind in third place.

A True Battle

Miami and Atlanta squared off last weekend in South Florida, and both teams were unwilling to give up on picking up points.

The Orange and Blue took the lead through Mo Thiaw in the 19th minute and went into the halftime break with the one-goal advantage.

Atlanta equalized in the 53rd minute before Thiaw earned himself a brace with a stellar finish in the 60th minute. In the dying minutes of the match, Atlanta's Alex Frank pounced on a loose ball in the box and tied the match at 2-2.

The draw snapped Miami's 16-match winning streak, but the club is still unbeaten in 17 straight matches.

Players to Watch

Harrison Heath is back from a minor injury and in fantastic form if last week's match is any indication.

In a back-and-forth match last week, Heath was a constant in midfield, threading defense-splitting passes all night and creating chances with ease.

The former Orlando City SC midfielder's versatility and ability to get both back and forward frequently is imperative for Head Coach Paul Dalglish's system.

Alessandro Milesi made his first start for Miami in last Sunday's match against Atlanta, and the 19-year-old looked like a seasoned vet on the field.

Milesi's supreme technical ability and vision saw him consistently eye through balls that most other players wouldn't see.

His calmness under pressure on the ball is a crucial component for any midfielder, and he showed off those traits consistently against Atlanta.

Looking Ahead

Miami gets a one-week break before making its triumphant return to Riccard Silva Stadium in a highly-anticipated match against the Oakland Roots on Saturday, October 26th.

The Orange and Blue will then play against either Stumptown Athletic or Atlanta SC in the NISA East Coast Championship on Saturday, November 9th. That match will also take place at Riccardo Silva Stadium.
