Preview: The Miami FC Looks to Build on Four-Match Winning Streak vs. Central Florida Panthers

Jun 7, 2019

MIAMI (June 7, 2019) - The Miami FC will carry a four-match winning streak into its home date against Central Florida Panthers SC on Saturday, June 8. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 p.m. at Buccaneer Field at Barry University.

Hoping For A Repeat
In the two clubs' first meeting a few weeks ago, the Orange and Blue came out on top with a dominant performance.

Miami out-shot Central Florida 23 to four and put up six goals in a tough road environment.

Miami got contributions from just about everyone, with four different goalscorers and four different assisters getting in on the action.

If Miami is able to hoard possession and dictate the tempo of the match on offense, Miami's attacking talent will once again be too much for the Panthers to handle.

Hitting An Unprecedented Stride
The Miami FC Faithful has seen some truly great stretches of play from the Orange and Blue over the years, but Miami's form at this point in time is unrivaled.

Miami has won four straight matches, three of which came on the road.

During that span, Miami has tallied an absurd 33 goals while giving up just one lone goal.

The Orange and Blue also developed a monumental 91 to 12 when it came to outshooting its opponents.

Players to Watch
Miguel González has been on an absolute tear during Miami's four-match winning streak.

Following the second week of the season, González has poured in an incredible 10 goals and dished out four assists.

The versatile forward notched three-consecutive braces before nearly doubling his goal total against Storm FC last weekend.

In just seven total matches, González has already climbed to eighth on the club's all-time scoring list, and he's sure to continue passing players if his current form is any indication.

Brian James is coming off of a breakout match in last week's 10-1 victory over Storm FC.

In that match, James put in an elite performance, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

His first goal came after a smart run into the box and his second score was a brilliantly struck volley.

James' propensity for ripping defenses apart with long through balls is vital for Coach Dalglish, as is his defensive intensity and newfound goalscoring chops.

Looking Ahead
The Miami FC will now travel west to take on Sunshine Conference leader Naples United FC on Saturday, June 15.

Following the quick one-week road trip, Miami will return home to host the final two matches of the regular season against Naples United FC and Jacksonville Armada U-23 before beginning its playoff run.
