The Miami FC Signs Forward Miguel González

MIAMI (February 4, 2019) - The Miami FC announced on Monday morning that the club has signed forward Miguel González to the roster. 

A native of Mexico, González began his playing career at Peninsula College before transferring to Seattle University, where he scored 19 goals in 41 appearances and was named WAC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-WAC in his final season.

González spent the first two years of his professional career in the PDL with Seattle Sounders 2 and the Kitsap Pumas. He then moved to the USL, where he quickly became an impactful figure for the Colorado Springs Switchbacks. He scored 17 goals and handed out seven assists in 59 appearances over a span of two seasons with the Switchbacks.

He made the move to Oklahoma City Energy FC in 2017, where he spent two seasons and made 46 appearances, notching 10 goals for the club. He appeared in three matches during the 2017 USL Playoffs and helped the Energy reach the Semifinals, where they fell to the Swope Park Rangers in penalties.
