Anthony Hazelwood

Anthony Hazelwood enters the Miami FC coaching staff as an assistant coach, overseeing sports performance for the club. He is a USSF “A” licensed soccer coach with an MSc in Sports Training and Nutrition from la Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM), a Masters in Talent Identification and Development in Soccer from UEM, a Master’s in International Sports Management from the Johan Cruyff Institute, and a BSc in Physical Education - Sports and Fitness Studies from Florida International University (FIU).

Hazelwood previously spent time with the U-20 Fort Lauderdale Strikers as a Soccer and Sports Performance Coach. Recently, he was with the Seattle Sounders FC as their Academy Sports Performance and Assistant Coach in 2017 and 2018. During his time in Seattle, he helped the U/17s to a Developmental Academy Championship Title in 2018 and a U/19 Third place finish in 2017. Most recently, Hazelwood serves as the Director of Sports Performance for the USSDA Kendall Soccer Coalition in Miami, FL.

He also spent time in Europe as a soccer fitness and sports performance intern with the U/17's of Levante U.D. (2013-2014) and the U/18's of Getafe SAD CF (2016) in Valencia and Madrid, Spain respectively. Furthermore, he was handpicked by Javier Mallo (First Team Real Madrid Fitness Coach) and others to take part in a four-month observational coaching internship (Winter 2016) with Real Madrid CF in Madrid, Spain.
