Anthony Hazelwood

Anthony Hazelwood enters the Miami FC coaching staff as an assistant coach, overseeing sports performance for the club. He is a USSF “A” licensed soccer coach with an MSc in Sports Training and Nutrition from la Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM), a Masters in Talent Identification and Development in Soccer from UEM, a Master’s in International Sports Management from the Johan Cruyff Institute, and a BSc in Physical Education - Sports and Fitness Studies from Florida International University (FIU).

Recently, he was with the Seattle Sounders FC as their Academy Sports Performance and Assistant Coach in 2017 and 2018. During his time in Seattle, he helped the U/17s to a Developmental Academy Championship Title in 2018 and a U/19 Third place finish in 2017. He was also an associate Sports Performance coach with the Seattle Sounders S2 playing in the USL Championship league. Furthermore, he was an associate sports performance coach for the Seattle Storm who won the 2018 WNBA Championship.

Hazelwood has also previously spent time with the U-20 Fort Lauderdale Strikers as a Soccer and Sports Performance Coach and has international experience as a soccer fitness and sports performance associate with the U/17's “Primera Regional” League Winners of Levante U.D. (2013-2014) and also with the third place “Liga Nacional Juvenil” U/18 Getafe SAD CF (2016) team in Valencia and Madrid, Spain respectively. Furthermore, he was handpicked by Javier Mallo (First Team Real Madrid Fitness Coach) and others to take part in a four-month observational coaching internship (Winter 2015) with Real Madrid CF in Madrid, Spain.
