MIAMI (February 10, 2017) – The Miami FC’s preseason schedule continues, Saturday, March 11 when it hosts Miami Fusion at 7 p.m. under lights at St. Thomas University. The match is free and open to the public.

Something to Build on
Miami Fusion finished 2016 with a winning record of 5-2-3 but missed the NPSL playoffs.

After a tough start to the season Miami Fusion closed the season strong with three massive victories. They defeated Weston FC twice and Miami United FC by a combined score of 12-2. The Fusion closed out 2016 with it best win of the season, taking out Weston FC 6-1.

The Fusion is led by forwards David Santamaria and Monty Berrow. The young attackers lead the club in scoring, netting three goals apiece.

Round 2
The Miami FC and the Miami Fusion have faced off before, playing a preseason match in 2016.

The Orange and Blue hosted the Fusion at FIU Stadium to close out the club’s inaugural preseason. This marked the first time the club had played at its new home.

The Miami FC looked strong in its final tune up before the start of its first NASL season defeating the Fusion, 4-0.

Jaime Chavez opened the floodgates, scoring in just the fourth minute of the match. 14 minutes later Ariel Martinez doubled the lead, as the club went into halftime ahead 2-0.

The second half saw two more goals thanks to Blake Smith and former forward Pablo Campos.

The Miami FC will hope for a repeated performance this Saturday as the 2017 season quickly approaches.
