THE MIAMI FC LOOKS STRONG IN FINAL TUNE UP

Mar 26, 2016

Miami, Fla. – The Miami FC closed out its preseason schedule, Saturday, with a matchup against the Miami Fusion. An offensive flurry led to four goals as Miami FC shut out Fusion.

Forward Jaime Chavez opened the scoring in the fourth minute, slipping the ball into the back of the net after receiving a pass from the left wing.

Midfielder Ariel Martinez finished from point-blank range and registered the second goal of the game, after 18 minutes of action.

The backline easily handled the Fusion’s attack throughout the first half, as the opposition had minimal chances to get on the board. Goalkeeper Daniel Vega was sure-handed, as he stood his ground and made routine saves.

Just eleven minutes into the second half, midfielder Blake Smith tallied the third goal of the night with left-footed shot, beating the keeper to the far post.

Substitute Pablo Campos put the game away, scoring on an open goal after some nifty passing in the penalty area.

The Miami FC won in a dominant 4-0 performance to close out the preseason. The team officially takes the home pitch, Saturday, April 9th at 8 p.m. against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
