The Miami FC is looking for talented young professionals seeking experience in the sports industry. Match day internships and volunteer positions are currently availble. Internships are for college credit and are non-paid. All students must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program to be eligible. Volunteer position are also non-paid. 

Match Day Communications Intern/Volunteer

Description: This full-time internship/volunteer encompasses the realm of communications – public relations, community relations and media relations – both print and digital within a team setting. Interns must be self-motivated to fit in as a focused operative and a team player. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the fast-paced sports world by writing pieces for, drafting press releases and organizing/executing events, all the while working closely with the Miami media. Applicants should have prior PR experience or coursework, a strong knowledge of soccer, excellent written and oral communications skills, work well independently, and have a professional demeanor. Bilingual is preferred, but not required. 


  • Assist in writing press releases and writing web stories for
  • Assist in preparation and execution of press conferences
  • Help create/produce content for all social media channels
  • Help fulfill donation and player appearance requests
  • Research media outlets on all levels for potential story placements
  • Organizing and filing all media clippings/mentions
  • Help with media availability during pre/post-match 
  • Assist in distribution of media credentials at all matches and events
  • Expected to attend all matches and practices to help with Miami FC content
