One of Miami FC’s newest acquisitions, Gale Agbossoumonde, was called up to represent the United States in the U-20 World Cup that will be held in Egypt. Agbossoumonde - who is only 17 years old - is expected to anchor the United States back line. Agbossoumonde joined the team on August 6, 2009 and has played 138 minutes in three matches. Miami FC fought hard and at one point had the opportunity of walking away with a draw, but the team could not overcome playing a man down.
